Measurement Guide
Custom Unit
Hair Preparation:
If you have existing hair, style your own hair as it would be under the wig, when its attached. In order to get the most accurate measurements, either braid your hair all back into flat cornrows along the scalp or braid the hair in a flat beehive, or wrap is back in a flat tight ponytail.
Hair Length styling guide
- 2” or less: Gel Flat or under a wig cap
- 3 – 6”: braided fine all back
- 6” or more: braided in a circle beehive style to avoid bulging at the back.
Make sure to get your hair as flat as possible before taking measurements. This will eliminate bulges that distort head shape. Remember to press firmly against the scalp and measure from where your natural hair line should be or wherever you would like the lace hairline to be constructed from.

Taking Measurements
Use a soft measuring tape to take your head size measurement. Measurements are taken in whole and ½ inches. Always round your number up to the nearest inch or ½ inch, not down.
Example: 14 ¾” would be rounded up to 15”
NOTE: Measure accurately, if your measurements are wrong the unit will not fit. Always measure a minimum of 2 times to ensure accuracy.
